Day 1 COCHIN
|
You are picked up from the airport / railway station or any location in Cochin to experience the best of Kerala. Known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, it is the heart of God's Own Country and also the center of business and commercial establishments. Check in to your hotel, be at leisure and get ready for your sightseeing trip to Fort Cochin, Mattancherry, Spice Markets, Antique Shopping, Jewish Synagogue, St Francis Basilica, Dutch Palace, Vasco Da Gama Square and Chinese Fishing nets. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 2 MUNNAR |
After breakfast proceed to Munnar, where sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make it a unique experience. Check in to your resort and get ready for your tour of the wildlife at Eravikulam National Park, a sanctuary set up for the preservation of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Now the park has the largest known population of Tahr's existing in the world. Return to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 MUNNAR |
This morning after breakfast, drive to Mattupetty a delight for nature lovers. Visit Mattupetty lake and dam, which are very beautiful picnic spots with boating facilities available. Proceed to Echo point famous for the natural echo phenomenon, the sprawling Kundala tea plantations and Kundala lake. Later you may visit Top Station offering marvellous views of the Munnar valley below. Wind up the day's tour with a visit to the TATA society shop and return to the resort.

Day 4 PERIYAR |
Get ready after breakfast for your morning drive to Periyar nestled in spice and rubber plantations. Known to be Kerala's pride and testimony to nature's splendour, Periyar has a lot to offer in terms of wildlife. Periyar is famous for its rare habitat of birds and animals and is one of the most popular destinations for nature lovers. Check in to your resort and get ready for your trip to cardamom hills where you could have a closer look at the spice plantations. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5 PERIYAR |
Today you are now all set for a sightseeing tour by motorboat to watch the wild life mainly wild elephants in herds. Other than wild elephants, you may also catch sight of Tigers, Bison, Spotted deer, Gaur and other animals. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. Return to your resort in the evening. |

Drive to Alleppey to get aboard your houseboat. Cruise through Punnamada lake to enter the enchanting waters of the Vembanad lake and enjoy the panoramic views and the glimpses of life along the banks. Palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expanse of paddy fields and the neat tiny hamlets lined up along either side of the canals are sights one can never forget. Overnight aboard the houseboat. |
Day 7 KUMARAKOM |
This morning, check out from the houseboat and drive to Kumarakom, a picturesque, clean village which is a tiny hamlet on the banks of a lagoon formed by the Vembanad lake. Check in to your resort where calm, emerald backwaters reflect hundreds of thousands of gently swaying palms where the primary attraction however, is its lazy ambience. Visit the bird sanctuary of Kumarakom and explore a whole new world of feathered species followed by a visit to the museum. Enjoy the sunset cruise in the evening. |

After breakfast proceed to Cochin and check into your hotel. You may visit the Hill Palace, the largest archaeological museum in Kerala sprawled over 52 acres of beautifully landscaped terraced land which houses a deer park and facilities for horse riding. Numerous species of flora including rare medicinal plants grow here. Later in the evening join the cultural program of classical dance with its ancient dance forms that throw light on the splendid heritage and culture of Kerala. Spend the night at the hotel . |
